Life-saving maneuvers and defibrillator use, a course in Perugia

Tertiary Innovation Process, training agency of Confcommercio Umbria, organizes the BLSD (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT DEFIBRILLATION) COURSE: LIFE-SAVING MANEUVERS AND USE OF THE DEFIBRILLATOR, which will teach how to recognize the state of unconsciousness in an adult patient in the event of rescue for cardiac arrest, with the use of the semi-automatic defibrillator and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and airway unblocking techniques according to IRC (Italian Resuscitation Council) indications.

The course, which takes place in presence in Perugia, is FREE for workers, members and owners of companies registered with theBilateral Tertiary Body of Umbria and Bilateral Tourism Board of Umbria.

However, it is also possible to participate in the PAYMENT course: if they are businesses, the cost is €66,39 (+VAT) for Confcommercio Umbria members and €73,77 (+VAT) for non-members.
Private individuals can also participate, at the cost of non-members.

CONTENTS

• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers and use the automatic external defibrillator (AED)
•  Knowledge of how to implement the "chain of survival"
• Symptoms of cardiopulmonary arrest
• Intervention schemes and methods of use of the semi-automatic external defibrillator (AED) according to the Italian Resuscitation Council guidelines
• Procedures for the prevention of anoxic brain damage
• Knowing how to recognize the state of unconsciousness in an adult patient
• Know how to implement the maneuvers and protocols for the treatment of cardiovascular arrest (ventricular fibrillation/pulseless ventricular tachycardia) with a semi-automatic defibrillator
• Acquire self-control skills in critical situations.
